Greetings Monkeys. Zoo and Tommypp here. We've teamed up to bring you all a great contest!

This contest is pretty easy. All you have to do is draw a pirate and/or ninja monkey in real life (not on the computer please).

We felt this would be a great way to end the Pirate vs. Ninja theme on Minimonos!! Good luck. We can't wait to see your creative drawings :)

The prizes are also amazing and so cool! They have generously donated by Zoo, to check out the prizes click the word 'Prizes' below in Zoo's picture!

Monkey Fact Monday - Similarities Between Monkeys & Us

Hey Monkeys,

Have you ever noticed that us, humans are very alive to monkeys, we are very alive in the animal world! And, that is just amazing, right?

There are so many ways that monkeys are like us people, they have opposable thumbs, they eat with their hands, and some monkeys can even communicate with people (not by talking, but by signs and by their actions)

If you love to climb trees, (like Calypspo does) you love to climb trees. This is something many monkeys are known for. MiniMonos Monkeys even live in their own treehouses!

Calyspo found the PERFECT tree today, and had to climb it:

Monkeys love to swing by or hang off trees, swinging by branches or rolling in the grass, or just grooming and taking care of each other!

Monkeys are incredibly intelligent. As I have posted about before, there is actually a monkey who has learned sign language! He's super cool. :-)

Monkeys also use a lot of available resources in their day-to-day lives, just like us humans. They even know how to use some basic tools, unlike nearly every other animal!

Just like monkeys, us humans have parents that take care of us until we are ready to leave home and start our own individual lives, but this may be different for monkeys! Monkeys only have a few years to live with their parents, some monkeys may even start their own lives by just being 2 years with their parents!

Anyways, we are very alive to monkeys, and they are very awesome and smart! They are definitely our closest species of animals in the animal world! Have a great week,monkeys!

MiniMonos Island Masterpiece #6: Tornadoes and Floods Donation

Hello Monkeys,

You may have heard about the very tragic tornadoes and floods that have recently happened around The Mississippi River and the state of Missouri U.S.A. I am sure you have, and it is very tragic, right? I have a friend named @minijghrocks from MiniMonos Express who has experienced this horrible tragedy, but luckily, he and his family is fine, but their house has been completely destroyed. Mattybon and I want to send out all our prayers to all those affected, it is a horrible tragedy. I hope they can recover well enough, and let's hope that these tornadoes and floods will stop from occurring while they recover safely.

Mattybon and I have also wanted to share some horrible, and interesting facts about these tornadoes and floods,

• These disasters have killed more than 120 citizens

• These tornadoes were the deadliest to hit the U.S in 60 years

• They have hit 6 miles long and 1/2 mile wide

• They have FLIPPED and destroyed businesses, trees, and cats

• Phones and Powerlines have been knocked out

• The governor has declared Joplin a state of emergency

• Multi Vortex tornadoes were occurred

• Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, and Arkansas are victims, and they are still in danger zones.

• It may take weeks or MONTHS for the water occurred by the flood to officially drain out

• It is too dangerous to walk in areas with floods due to the water being toxic from the items from the home getting in the water

• Snakes and Alligators may also be lurking in the flood waters

• Debris is all over the area.

• Water levels are higher than they have ever been before

• Surging water downstream at 9 gallons PER MINUTE

• Walls are against the Mississippi and Smaller Rivers stretching around 3,500 miles along

• If you put the walls end to end, they would be bigger than the Great Wall Of China

MiniMonos Island feels like we should help out the victims of these tragic disasters, so for every 1 comment we get on THIS post, we will donate 50 cents to help out the victims, so comment here as soon as possible, we will donate for every comment. Now, let's explain why we do this. We could just donate all the money instead of making you guys comment here, well, first, we could do that, but commenting and us donating is better, more people will focus on the issue, and step in to help the victims. Weekly Wonder - Pie

It is time for the Weekly Wonder once again, last week Bananatastic asked us what our favorite filling in a pie is, which I thought was an amazing question, since everybody loves pie! Well, check out what Sonic4572 (Me) said about his favorite pie filling:

Well, my favorite pie filling has to be 'Chocolate' since it was the first pie I have ever tasted. It instantly made me love pie, and it's one of my favorite snacks! Chocolate pie is also a
yummy pie to eat, and I eat it for Desert about 1-2 times a week! It's very delicious, and I love pie! You can taste chocolate pie sometime, it's delicious!
