This week we will be talking about the boreal forest also known as the taiga biome! This is something that we should all really know!
This forest stretches all along the top of Earth!
The boreal forest has a special purpose for our world as we know it. Even though the boreal forest doesn't have much animal life because leaves on their pine-trees are kind of poisonous, this forest contains 1/2 of earth's trees! These trees play a large part on limiting harmful greenhouse gases by absorbing much of the Earth's carbon dioxide!
We need to cut down on some of the things we do,like supporting factories and air pollution. One of the biggest threats to the boreal forest, particularly in Russia and Scandanavia, has been ca
used by human activities which form acid rain. Acid rain happens when we burn large quantities of gas and coal, and the pollution mixes with water vapour into clouds. When rain falls from these large clouds,it is called acid rain and it can cause devastation to this forest area. If parts of this forest area die, less carbon dioxide is absorbed so global warming becomes worse
Wow,this is a great Monkey Fact Monday and I really liked it. I learned a lot about the taiga biome, and I wanted to know more about it,honestly! Now I do! :) Did you learn something? Leave your thoughts and comments today!
